Hyderabad Woman Found Murdered in Australia; Husband Allegedly Flees to Hyderabad, Surrenders Child to Victim’s Parents
Tragedy struck as the lifeless body of 36-year-old Chaithanya Madhagani, a woman from Hyderabad, was discovered in Australia. The grim discovery took place in Buckley, where Madhagani’s remains were found in a wheelie bin by the roadside on Saturday. The deceased had been residing in Australia alongside her husband and their son.
Upon receiving news of the heart-wrenching incident, Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy, representing Madhagani’s native constituency, met with her grief-stricken parents to offer support and condolences.
Responding to the desperate plea of the victim’s family, MLA Reddy swiftly penned a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), urging their intervention to repatriate Madhagani’s body back to Hyderabad. “At the behest of the woman’s parents, I have written to the MEA, urging them to facilitate the return of her mortal remains to Hyderabad,” stated the Legislator in an interview with PTI.
The MLA further disclosed that, as per the information provided by Madhagani’s parents, their son-in-law had purportedly confessed to the heinous act of murdering their daughter.
In a startling turn of events, the husband of the deceased hastily traveled to Hyderabad and entrusted the care of their child to Madhagani’s grieving parents, leaving a trail of unanswered questions and profound sorrow in his wake.
Meanwhile, the Victoria Police issued a statement dated March 9, confirming their active investigation into the matter. According to the statement released on their official website, the Homicide Squad detectives are diligently probing the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the deceased individual in Buckley, near Winchelsea. A second crime scene has been established at a residential address on Mirka Way, Point Cook, with investigators strongly suspecting a link between the two incidents.
As investigations unfold, the authorities have disclosed that the involved parties were acquainted with each other, hinting at a domestic angle to the crime. Furthermore, the perpetrator is believed to have fled overseas, complicating the pursuit of justice in this harrowing case of suspected homicide.
