In a strategic maneuver aimed at bolstering its presence in the southern region, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is orchestrating an extensive campaign, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading efforts across Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. This whirlwind tour by the Prime Minister seeks to solidify the BJP’s influence, challenge dominant regional parties, and make inroads into traditionally challenging territories for the party.

In Kerala, the BJP is striving to make headway into the vote share of both the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF). In Tamil Nadu, the BJP aims to secure seats and mobilize against the I.N.D.I.A bloc. Additionally, in Telangana, the BJP endeavors to fill the void left by the defeat faced by the Bahujan Republican Socialist Party (BRS) in the recent Assembly elections.

Prime Minister Modi’s itinerary is packed with engagements across the southern states. On Friday, he is scheduled to arrive in Pathanamthitta at 10:30 am, where he will be greeted by K Surendran, the BJP’s state chief, along with the party’s Kerala in-charge Prakash Javadekar, state General Secretary George Kurian, and Pathanamthitta district president VA Sooraj. Following his arrival, the PM will address a public gathering, with an expected turnout of around one lakh people.

Subsequently, PM Modi will proceed to campaign in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. This visit will mark his fifth trip to Tamil Nadu, where he has previously visited Hindu temples and sites of religious significance.

In Tamil Nadu, the BJP is actively working to form a coalition excluding both Dravidian parties in the state. It has successfully brought the Tamil Maanila Congress led by GK Vasan and the AMMK under TTV Dhinakaran’s leadership into its fold.

In Telangana, the Prime Minister’s agenda includes a roadshow and public meetings in key constituencies. He will kick off a roadshow starting from Mirjalaguda in Malkajgiri at 3 PM on Friday, within the Malkajgiri Parliamentary Constituency. On March 16, at 10 AM, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a public meeting in the Nagar Kurnool Parliamentary Constituency.

Furthermore, on March 18 at 9 AM, Narendra Modi will address a public gathering in Jagitial, situated within the Nizamabad Parliamentary Constituency.

Additionally, PM Modi will address party workers in the Bengaluru Rural district, further solidifying the BJP’s stance in the region.
