Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi has raised concerns about the deteriorating health of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has reportedly lost 4.5 kg since being incarcerated in Tihar Jail. Atishi criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for jeopardizing Kejriwal’s well-being by detaining him in jail, emphasizing his significant weight loss and underlying health conditions, particularly his severe diabetes.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Atishi highlighted Kejriwal’s relentless dedication to serving the nation, despite his health challenges, and underscored the alarming consequences of his recent weight loss. Expressing grave concern, she admonished the BJP for putting Kejriwal’s health at risk through his detention.

“Atishi asserted, “If something happens to Arvind Kejriwal, forget about the entire country, even God will not forgive them…” The AAP leader emphasized that Kejriwal’s noticeable weight loss occurred within just 12 days of his incarceration, painting a worrisome picture of his health.

However, the administration of Tihar Jail refuted these claims, asserting that Kejriwal’s vital signs remain stable. Senior officials at Tihar Jail confirmed that Kejriwal has been permitted to retain his diabetes medication and sweets to manage his blood sugar levels. Additionally, he is allowed to consume home-cooked meals during his detention.

Despite Atishi’s assertions, Tihar Jail officials assured that Kejriwal’s health is being closely monitored by medical professionals, with prompt interventions in case of any fluctuations in his sugar levels. They further clarified that his recent dip in sugar levels was promptly addressed, and he is currently in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, also implicated in the Delhi excise policy case, secured bail from the Supreme Court on Tuesday, following the ED’s acknowledgment of no objections. With Singh’s release, AAP leaders expressed optimism about the imminent release of other incarcerated members, viewing it as a triumph for democracy and anticipating the collapse of what they perceive as the BJP’s fabricated narrative.

In the midst of these developments, doubts arise about the veracity of claims made for public attention, raising questions about the political landscape’s authenticity and the underlying motivations behind such assertions.
